Stone barn cotswolds wedding
It’s summer, apparently…but my toes have been cold all day so let’s reminisce about a gorgeous sunny wedding!
When we set off to Stone Barn one Saturday morning in April, we couldn’t believe our luck. Finally we were filming a wedding at one of our favourite venues on a hot summery day!
A hanging halo of foliage and roses decorated the barn, and the chairs were set in place ready for Victoria and David’s guests. Everybody soaked up the sunshine in the gardens, taking group pictures and selfies before the ceremony got into motion.
With everybody in their seats, David waited at the top of the aisle for his soon-to-be wife. She beamed as she walked through the room, I’m sure I was beaming behind my camera too. Before long they said ‘I do!’ to the cheers of family and friends, and confetti thrown in the air to mark the start of the rest of their lives. And also…the party!
Guests milled about and posed for formal photos in the garden, and later we stole a few quiet moments with the couple in the fields at dusk. Once everybody was seated for the wedding breakfast, the speeches began. Speakers chose to stand up on the balcony overlooking the dining area which made a great vantage point for us to capture some sweet reactions of the crowd. After three best men wrapped up the speeches, deliciousness was served (seriously: the best venue for food). Then everyone gathered on the dance floor to watch Victoria and David throw some shapes for the first time as a married couple – catch their moves at the end of the video!
