Provence wedding film //
In June, we hopped across the English channel to the warmth of Provence for Aurelie and Daniel’s beautiful wedding day at Le Domaine de Palerme. The couple met and live in the US so guests were there to celebrate from across France, New York and Boston.
The late morning sun was intense, as family and friends moved from the shade of one tree to another while setting up the garden for the reception. Daniel finished writing out his speech, while the last of the groomsmen arrived.
Aurelie was all smiles as she had her makeup and hair done, sharing some laughs with her cousins and hugs with her mum and grandmother. Her dress was so beautiful, a lacy fitted bodice with a lovely flowing skirt that looked even more gorgeous in motion.
Once the guys had mastered their bowties and boutonnieres, and before everybody melted in the heat, Aurelie and Dan shared an adorable first look. After some photos of the bridal party in the garden, everyone made their way to the church, L’Eglise Notre-Dame-des-Anges in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. And what a stunning church it was!
After the ceremony and confetti on the church steps, we all headed back to the Domaine for the drinks reception, led by the couple in their dressed up Fiat.
A jazz band trio played in the garden, as people mingled about in the shade, staying cool with drinks and enjoying the hors d’oeuvres. Soon the shade of the oak tree in the garden stretched out to cover the tables and guests sat down to enjoy the wedding dinner, but not before we stole Aurelie and Dan away for a few romantic moments in the golden light – this region of France is just gorgeous when the sun sets!
Speeches were given by parents and siblings, and songs sung by the bridal party as well as an adorable rendition from Aurelie’s grandparents! When all was said and done it was time to party the night away, and this crowd partied up a storm to a vibrant DJ set
