Maidens Barn Wedding •
Lucy & Alan said their ‘I do!’s in May at Maiden’s Barn in Essex. Despite the drizzle as guests arrived, Alan was all smiles and relaxed around his groomsmen and family. It was so lovely to see how close this bunch were!
Maidens Barn is a beautiful venue with a welcoming vibe, and everything on site made sure it felt like a close-knit party. Guests arrived as it drizzled outside, and started to fill the seats. Before long Lucy was making her way to the top of the room in a gorgeous silky dress, arm in arm with her proud father.
Some of my favourite moments to capture on a wedding day are the looks shared between family and the bride or groom. They always look so genuinely happy for their loved one. There were plenty of moments like that on Lucy & Alan’s day, especially from Lucy’s grandma and Alan’s sisters <3
After their humanist ceremony, a friend of Alan’s family gave a short blessing to the couple before they were cheered down the aisle. Now the party was about to begin!
Sunshine dipped in and out for the group photos, but the laughter and smiles didn’t stop. After an entertaining bunch of speeches and some delicious food, it was high time to dance! It thrilled me to see a few Irish jigs break out on the dance floor, courtesy of Lucy and the bridesmaids. Absolute legends!
Lucy and Alan, we wish you all the very best in your future together. Thank you for choosing us to capture your special day!
