Morning Prep

Lauren and Ben’s beautiful Hockwold Hall wedding in Norfolk was a firm favourite of last year’s wedding season! And it was a fabulous season. A beautiful venue, the sweetest couple, brilliant speeches, and dancefloor energy we can only describe as electric ⚡️

Lauren and her bridesmaids got ready in one of the bedrooms of the hall, where prosecco flowed, flower girls danced about, and close friends popped in to see the bride before the ceremony.

The Catherine Deane dress was a streamlined, minimalistic gown with a lovely short sleeved sheer lace number over it. We’re seeing more and more modern two piece designs, and we’re here for it. The bridesmaids wore delicately beaded pale blue dresses, which matched the soft blue flowers in the bouquet as well as the floral arrangements in the ceremony room.

Ceremony & Reception

The couple originally wanted to have the ceremony outside, but the unpredictability of English weather prevailed! So it took place indoors, in a gorgeous room with plenty of light flooding in from the floor-to-ceiling windows. Floral Sistas dressed the space with beautiful blooms, and we captured family and friends arriving to Hockwold, greeted by the beaming Ben.

To everybody’s joyful cheers, Lauren and Ben were married! Now the celebrating would truly begin, outside in the beautiful garden and the stunning marquee.

A luxurious draped marquee with chandeliers, the fabric filled the space with softened light and paired with a wooden floor, the place was just so lovely. Olive trees dotted the edge of the room, and tables were decorated with old gin bottles, flowers and greenery. I loved the lavender and dried wheat on top of the napkins too!

The speeches had everybody laughing and wiping away tears. We love capturing the speaker and the hilarious and emotional reactions of the couple and their guests, and there were so many great moments at this wedding!

When it was time to hit the dance floor, this bunch had it so covered. Everybody filled the floor, and kept the energy going well into the night, to the sounds of Truly Medley Deeply and a backdrop of dazzling lights.

A little further than our usual bookings, the stunning Hockwold Hall was really worth the journey. Not to mention a day filled with joy and laughter like Lauren and Ben’s day was, it’s times like this that make us feel very lucky to do what we do 💕 Especially when looking back during a pandemic! Oh those were the days…hugs, smiles and dancefloors. Come back to us soon please.
