Alex & Charlie said ‘I do!’ at Buckhurst Park and although Buckhurst is in England, it felt like a destination wedding with all that sunshine! As it turned out, it was THE hottest day of the year so far…and we along with White Stag Photography just about melted! But we made it, and what a day it was to look back on 💕
While Charlie and the guys relaxed outside the pub with the first of their guests, not too far away Alex was getting ready in a cottage with her bridesmaids and family. She popped the prosecco, clinked glasses with loved ones, and opened a perfect present from Charlie (those shoooes, hello! 😍)
All the final details were put in place before they made the short trip to the local church where everyone eagerly waited. Little hand fans kept everyone cool, which was so thoughtful for a summer wedding, but so necessary too!

Guests relaxed in the shade while the temperature rose to 32 degrees(!), and they sipped on drinks. The atmosphere felt quite like the Caribbean, because of the fabulous steel drum band playing by the bar. Thank goodness for trees and tall stone walls to cast a bit of shade for us all to escape to, am I right?! 🙌
A little later, the wedding party posed for formal photos in the garden and at dusk we stole a few quiet moments with the couple in the beautiful grounds of Buckhurst Park. At golden hour the light is simply irresistible!

The biggest congratulations Alex and Charlie, and thank you for choosing us to capture your day!! You were an absolute dream, we had a wonderful time because of you and we hope you enjoy watching your film in the years to come! And as always, twas a pleasure to work with Catherine and Andy of White Stag Photography again 😄
