Stone Barn Wedding

Becky and Dan became newlyweds at one of our favourite venues closer to home, Stone Barn. A beautifully laid out barn venue, it’s the perfect place for a ceremony and reception because there are several spaces for guests to sit and mill about, and no one’s too far away – a treat for a wedding videographer! And take it from us (and every couple whose wedding we’ve filmed there)…the food is incredible.

Becky looked truly gorgeous in her strapless wedding dress by Mark Lesley, with lovely embroidery detailing on the sheer back and accented with buttons. Her bridesmaids wore beautiful pastel coloured dresses – we love a bit of individuality among the bridal party! Shropshire Petals set up a pick & mix confetti bar with petals of the same shades as the bridemaid’s dresses – and they’re biodegradable too! The pastel colours could also be seen on the table settings; massive balloons to name each table after places they visited on a road trip across America. It was this very trip that Dan proposed to Becky, and they’d picked up license plates in every state they visited to decorate their tables. Meaningful touches ya’ll, that’s what it’s all about. Their nearly naked cake by Cake Fest was decorated by a simple but stunning olive wreath lightly dusted with icing sugar. I spend way too many moments at weddings filming the cake longingly, trying not to drool. Sweet tooth for life!

After the speeches and wedding breakfast, it was soon time for the first dance and the band to kick off the night. The Zu Zu Men kept everyone tearing up the dance floor, and guests got their faces into party mode with The Glitter Box.
